Rules

In addition to being a list maker, I am also a rule follower.  It drives me batty when people think they don't need to follow the rules.  I believe that most rules are made with the person's or people's best interest in mind, and in most cases, you have agreed to the rules somehow.  By taking the job, signing the paper, going to court, getting a driver's license, etc.  Huh, now that I think of it, that's probably one of the reasons I enjoy teaching!  There are mostly set rules, and it's my job to enforce them....OF COURSE, that's not my only or my most important job when teaching, but it is a nice added benefit!
Now, after saying that, I do understand when there are times rules have to be broken.  I am flexible, if there is a good reason.
That being said, when rules are broken just to make someone mad?  GRRRR.....which is why this page is now on my bookmarks.....15 simple ways to overcome anger!!!

On that note, I did have a great day back at school.  I think I'm going to love my kiddo, and am very excited about the new challenges in my classroom.  This is going to be a big year of growth for me, I think.  And I can't wait!

In closing, here are my kiddos on the first day!
