Facebook, Friends!

Well, technically I'm WAY over my 45 minutes of computer time today, but most of that is because I introduced a new game to the kids at school this afternoon in the computer lab. So, those 3 hours don't count, right?!?

So, my title. I signed up on Facebook a few months ago, just to see who I would see (oh, and so my sister would see me as young and hip...haha!). Wow, it's been amazing to say the least! Not only am I now young and hip, but friends (and people I didn't know that well) from high school have been coming out of cyberspace! Pretty cool! I'm from a pretty good sized high school, and I thought I was well known and liked. Looking back, maybe I was just hugely egotistical :) Anyway, I had my small group of close friends, but knew most people, I thought. Turns out, I didn't know that many people at all! And my close friends that I thought would be my friends for ever and ever...well, most of them are not. I still have one or two friends that I would consider to be "best friends" that are from that original group, and consider myself very blessed to have that! The people that I'm friends with now are people I work with and my family. I consider myself to be acquaintances with a very small handful of people I know in high school I probably was not very nice too, or just not close to. To those folks, I'm sorry. I was a snob. I'm so excited to see you on Facebook (or IRL) now, and I really hope we can rebuild those "not so great" friendships into lifelong ones! You all seem like such amazing people to me, and I only hope someday I can call you my close friends. (And, like, call me, like, ok? Hehe!)
