On the mend...

Hello fellow bloggers. I'm taking a break from my regularly scheduled facebook time to stop in and say hi.
So, that completely and udder sadness I've been feeling? Turns out it's something much more serious than even I thought. I have pneumonia. I finally went to the doctor today, and he got me started on a shot of antibiotics as well as a 10 day prescription, and I after only one dose I feel almost normal. HALLELUJAH!!! Maybe I will start to have energy again as early as tomorrow.

Other news for my viewing public....my darling J had a birthday yesterday. Her 14th. And so, my Iowa friends, you know what that means. Yep, she is now a driver. It was quite an ordeal to get her the permit. Her dad had to driver her north to Iowa (where he is still a resident b/c of our house there and his job is still there) to take the test. I had to find her birth certificate and social security card (which my MIL once told me to hid so no one would take...and I hid them so well, I have no clue where I put them!!!) Well, I know we used her birth certificate to get her passport this spring, but I don't know if we ever got it back from the Passport office (why would I not put it back with A and R's???) So, luckily they let her use her passport and we happen to have court papers laying around with her social security number on them they let her use. Why isn't anything easy in my house?

A also had a birthday this week. He turned 11 on Tuesday. What a little stud. I can hardly believe I have an 11 and a 14 year old...I wasn't much older than 14 when Tim and I met! Like my friend E said...weren't we just 14?

So, tomorrow is Red Barn in our town. Red Barn (as I understand it) is a great small town festival on the square featuring all kinds of arts and crafts (I posted crafts and arts first, just doesn't sound right!!) I'm really excited to go. Since it always occurs this weekend, we've never been in town b/c of the kids birthdays. Not only are we going to be in town, hopefully I'll be very healthy, AND the kids are at their dad's for the weekend, so I can really enjoy it my way! :) I'm looking forward to checking it out, and I think I have some friends lined up to go with.
